Forgotten Songs (12th Mar 14 at 2:33am UTC)
If I go to 5 Guys to get a hamburger, their music tends to be stuff I liked when I was growing up. It was on the radio stations but I didn't like it enough to buy the album. The last time I was there, this song played.

I kinda like the edginess of the song, but the pop silliness of the lyrics never appealed enough for it to rank as a favorite. I knew it was too fast and silly to be one hit wonder Donny Iris. I knew it was too silly to be Big Country. I knew it wasn't Quiet Riot, but it reminded me of them. I honestly thought it predated Quiet Riot. My curiosity is now resolved. It is Slade. Quiet Riot covered at least one Slade song and Slade was probably one of their inspirations. This Slade album came out after Quiet Riot's success and was probably trying to cash out on the extra attention they were getting because of Quiet Riot. After 30 years it was fun to hear again.
