I thought it was interesting, but not compelling. It's not something I'd seek out.

It's basically alot of talk on old hollywood and classic tv shows with Gilbert uncensored. Some of the interviews are hilarious like the ones with Billy West and Bob Saget. I like GG's blue humor with guests and he gets them off guard. Smiley

What you are essentially telling me is that if I did a podcast, you'd have a subscription. I talk worse than he was talking. I just need guests to horrify.

I'll subscribe! Let me run the music and sound effects... {Grin} Smiley

This Gottfried is too good. It should win a Peabody award. Not many other comedians' podcasts can hold my attention for longer than 2 minutes.

I could listen to Gottfried's Bela Lugosi impression all day.

I've just seen the ads so far. It's not a show I've ever really watched for more than a few minutes.

Re: Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast (12th Jan 15 at 8:48am UTC)
He actually got fired on the third episode. The first episode was a 2 hr episode and the youngest girl from the Cosby show got fired. She was the project manager for the girls team and they were raising money for a fund. Geraldo was the project manager for the mens team and with all his contacts they killed it. The girl from the Cosby show was scrutinized for not asking Bill Cosby for help and she was fired. This obviously was filmed before all the rape allegations.

The next night they had 2 one hr episodes. One of the Jonas brothers was fired on the first episode. I forget exactly what transpired but he was the project director and had this alpha male personality much like Geraldo. He didnt like Geraldo and tried to take him down. Normally when a team fails the project manager and 2 other people the manager decides was the weakest link go to the board room and decides who gets fired. The Jonas brother took Geraldo but also took someone who did a good job and only took him because he knew that guy would also say Geraldo was the problem which he did but the plan backfired and the Jonas brother was fired.

I didnt see all of the third episode because I was getting ready for work. But apparently the 2 groups had to make a business presentation to a company and the girls won. Terrel Owens was thr project manager for the men and Geraldo and Gilbert had to go to the board room with them. Geraldo is such an alpha male that he pushes one of his ideas at the group and if they dont follow his lead he kinda checks out. The men actually had a great presentation which each contributing but when they got to Gilbery he told off color jokes which didnt sit well with the family oriented product was told it was the reason it lost. Gilbert really had no defense and said as with all jokes no one got hurt. Everyone loved Gilbert but his jokes met with the wrong audience and he was fir
fired.

Gilbert was never a project manager he wasnt there long enough. He was a good team member who tried to contribute the best he could but all he really could offer was jokes and he was the opposite of an alpha male. Modt everyone loved Gilbert but not everyone was amused by him. When Geraldo was project manager Gilbert kepy asking Geraldo what he could do. Clearly Geraldo had no respect for Gilbert and to brush him off he told Gilbert to go supervise the balloons outside. So he did. He said clearly Geraldo doesnt like me but he went out there and yelled at the balloons and told them to get in line.

I find Gilbert really amusing. Most of his jokes are corny or dumb but he says it with such a wacky delivery I cannot help but laugh at him. I hated to see him go because he was one of the best reasons to watch. I could see Geraldo winning but he alienates everyone with his Alpha Male egotistical ways. So I see lots of people trying to take him down but usually hes spot on when confronted and escapes the board room. So I dont know. I do know losing Gilbert was an entertainment loss.

My bet is that the entire show is scripted. They probably asked Gilbert how he wanted to go and he probably said "Fire me for telling a few off color jokes."
I'm not sure how or why Geraldo keeps appearing on TV. He has no talent except to bore you with talk and even then he over-sensationalizes everything.

Perhaps so. Hard to tell of any of this is real or not. When I seen Terell, Geraldo and Gilbert was in the board room you knew it was going to be a loss one way or thr other because these were like 3 of the biggest celebrities left on the mens teams. Most of the celebs are washed up has beens. I think that is why they do the show.

Definitely! Gilbert lost his AFLAC job and his work has probably dried up.

The funniest part is how well the lady took his comments. I've probably rambled on with worse things than he was saying, but it's always good to have an audience that expects it.

Here's one of his previous appearances to give the latest video more continuity with the chick:

Smiley

I recently found the Superboy TV show comic book he once wrote in the early 90s. He played a villian in that syndicated Superboy show and "co-wrote" issue #20 of the comic run.

I'm surprised how much he put into it and you can tell it's written mainly by him and his ideas.

I've never heard of that comic. Bizarre. The back story on the video helps.
