It's a tough question to answer because the context isn't clearly confined. I think Max Gaines was more important than Jack Kirby. I think Stan Lee was more important than Jack Kirby. If not for Stan marketing Kirby's name, I think Kirby would be more of an afterthought today. If the product is out there, someone will do the work and someone will receive more praise.

Just weighing in my thoughts. It's a struggle for me to posts comments at a blog site because there is so much cross domain sharing of information. I have to temporarily shut down or bypass a half dozen security settings & software I use.
