Cartoon Carnival (24th Nov 14 at 12:13am UTC)
I went to a comic show since I'm off all week. I picked up the following:

Cartoon Carnival #100

Cartoon Carnival #105

My checklist only had this series going up to issue #112. This bumps it up another 6 issues!
This was all I bought.

Are you picking these up fairly cheaply? The condition doesn't look the greatest and I wouldn't think there was too much demand for these.

I value these in G-NM the same regardless of condition at this point. The ones popping up on eBay for more money are usually in no better shape. I'll confess that under the bright lighting of the show, the spotting on these were not something I noticed. If I don't have them, and the price is not outlandish, I buy them. I would have bought them even if I had seen the condition issues. I paid $9 each. They were priced $12. I know the seller isn't getting these from dollar boxes. I tried to talk him down to $8. This dealer is actually acquiring these so he can flip them to me.

I've really seen pricing spike on the older ones and they are not common from any year as far as I can tell.
I assumed there was no demand, but retailers are starting to spike their prices. On the older ones I've paid 50% or less than what I'm seeing bigger retailers price these now. The condition is usually the same.

I am definitely with you when it comes to the lighting at the comic shows not being great for helping grade books, especially when you are pulling stuff at a quick pace like I was today. After I got home, I found a few books that I will throw in my junk boxes because of condition issues.

The glare on the bags is probably why I didn't notice. This show was the brightest show I've ever attended. Also, I'm overjoyed if there are no chunks missing or creases on these. These are some solid copies. It was a huge disappointment seeing my scans, but I'd still have bought them. He had two that I already owned, so I didn't buy them. He wrote down the issues i bought so he wouldn't try to buy them again for me. These extended the issue numbers that I listed on my check sheet. Finding things I need to add is always fun. I used to get frustrated if I'd finish a check sheet and then discover more. Now I look forward to it.
