JCV seems to launch a bunch of companies. The missing ingredients are Shooter and actual investors to make something special happen though.

I was disappointed with the half reprint issue package that was Bedtime Stories #1.

Do you think they think Bedtime Stories was a success for them? I wonder if they think it was a hit since it got the attention of one store to special order a variant. I just hope the next indie Shooter comic doesn't mean more store variants going forward.

One or two is ok for launch issues but not if they do what Marvel does for every one right after.

It's hard to say if it was a success. It depends upon what they paid for the art.

Reusing the art and publishing the book in B&W really pushed the comic towards doing okay. B&W is much cheaper to print. Even if the book made money, we know Jim offered his story for free. If the employees are not fairly paid for their services, then I don't consider it profitable.
