Aw heck! Who needs actors! Not when you can use CGI to give Manga characters big eyes.
From now on, all movies will hire one actor for motion capture. All character rendering will be done with CGI. Whether they are male, female, dog, cat, robot, or monster... it's CGI.
It looks interesting.

I'll see it. I don't know anything about the character.

I saw this last night. I liked it. I was not familiar with the character. I only know the comic by name. I give it about an 8. Some of the visuals were pretty cool and they rank higher. Cameron's involvement instilled a little confidence in me that I'd like it. It was justified. The plot was more complex than many of the movies out there. The bad guy is rarely seen, but the pawns are bountiful. She's a justified bad-ass. They do an excellent job of presenting her as a teenager overflowing with emotions. The only thing that bothered me is that so many characters had Japanese names, yet Japanese actors were not used. I'm not a fan of Jennifer Connelly, but she she looked like some Manga characters I've seen drawn. I have no complaints, but I'd rather have seen Cameron's version of Forbidden Plant or some other project. I walked into a late showing about 10 minutes before the movie started. No one was in the theater. About 4 people strolled in after I did. I'm thinking that American audiences aren't familiar enough about the character and Cameron's been out of the spotlight so long that people aren't hyped up on his every project.

I had been wanting to see this for awhile, mainly for Cameron's name attached to it. I'm glad it's good. I have some AMC tix to use so i'll probably see it soon.

I'd go see it if they did.
I wish they'd used Asian actors in the movie .. just because.
