I liked the first movie and I liked this one 4 times better.

The hero solves all the problems. I only saw Domino's frizzy hair in the trailer and thought she'd be annoying. She was a cool inclusion and had a gorgeous face. The "big guy" villain was done right. Shatterstar's fate was excellent. Brad Pitt's fate was amusing. Cable had some cool technology. It was more entertaining than the recent Avengers movie.

I read spoilers for this one already. I was debating which to see first....DP2, Solo or Avengers.

By the time I make up my mind, Maybe they be on demand.

I've decided that I'm not seeing anymore Star Wars movies. I was only a moderate fan at best. I was already tired of the mythology when the prequels came out. This modern recreation/rehashing/reboot of everything from scratch with actors I don't want to look at doesn't interest me.

Avengers was only half of a movie despite it being so long. It was good, but there is no ending to get excited about.

Deadpool 2 makes you think it's going to be the same, but it isn't. It fixes shit that didn't take place in the movie. Deadpool 2 was more fun. It left me wanting to see more of the characters.

Avengers left me hoping that some characters like Vision and Scarlett Witch would just stay gone. They have been poorly used and I don't even want to see them if they can't be used properly.

The Marvel Studios characters that I want to see more of are Dr. Strange and Antman. I'm tired of the Avengers team. They screwed that up with Avengers 2. I'm really tired of Black Widow too despite her being used well.

Deadpool 2 sounds like the best one so far to see. I'm done with the Disney-fied Star Wars era myself since they ruined episodes 7-9. The side standalone movies seem to be better. There were rumors that Disney is trying to get Lucas for the Kenobi movie next year. They should have kept him in the loop for the whole thing to begin with.

The recent Marvel movies seem like a chore to watch for me. Black Panther was ok but I felt like I was forcing myself to watch it to get it over with just to catch up on the storyline. Kind of the same with Thor 3 and Guardians. Not exciting anymore. Deadpool at least shits on everything. {Grin}

Evidently the fat kid in DP2 was known as Rusty in the comics and he first appeared in X-Force #1.
Bob Layton had to be reminded that he was a co-creator of the character. There was probably confusion because the two look nothing alike.
Yukio was not a mutant in the comics. She was plucked from a Wolverine storyline and probably appeared in a Wolverine movie without powers.

Thor 3 is one that I didn't like. I'm a Hulk fan, so it and the last Avengers movie are huge disappointments. The Black Widow/Bruce Banner romantic tension is stupid. The more these movies get away from their Kirby/Ditko roots, the less appealing they are to me. Guardians wore thin too. Comic book movies suffered for years because they always made everything a joke. They were too campy. X-Men was made with a serious story and that's why comic book movies got a shot in the arm. They are screwing up by making the movies too campy again. Deadpool 2 works though. It's just serious enough and just crude enough that you're hooked.

The whole mindset of "let's try something new... oh shit... it failed... let's go back and try to pretend like we didn't screw up" is annoying. Success is rarely random pot shots. Lucas tried to keep some integrity to the mythos and he seemed to be struggling with it. Handing it over to anyone else is essentially fan fiction. I hope Lucas doesn't come back. His name is just a marketing ploy to reconnect with the fans.
