Bleh! I did not know they had a trailer for this movie. I expect it to be exactly on par with the last one. I expect no worse and no better.

This'll be a hit for Groot alone.

Maybe I will be able to retire off the value of my comics.

I was bored. The movie was too busy. The trailer scenes were better in the trailer. At 11:55 on Saturday, I bought a ticket for a noon showing. I walked in and the theater was empty. A couple of small families walked in after I did. Probably less that 10 people in the theater. I saw the 3D version. There were a few neat scenes with the 3D effect, but otherwise it was unnecessary. I'm also getting tired of all the characters except Groot. Stallone has a small role. He's supposedly Starhawk. I think someone online said he was Charlie-27. Either way, Martinex is standing by his side. There's a Howard the Duck cameo in the movie & the credits. Stan Lee has a couple of cameos. He's hanging out with the Watchers. Kurt Russell has been acting for over 50 years. I didn't like him as an actor when I was a kid. I don't like him being cast in anything today. His best movies were Escape From New York and Overboard. Even then, any other actor would have made the roles more enjoyable to watch. There are some funny scenes with Drax talking to Mantis. They are good as stand-alone humor because the pace of the movie had slowed down. If the movie had not slowed down, it would have been drowned out like all the other scenes. I give it a 5 out of ten. It wasn't horrible. The plot didn't interest me and I didn't care about the characters.

"Him" from FF# 66 & 67 makes a cameo.... finally. Again though... he's not a character that interests me.

Was it better than Age Of Ultron? I heard they de-aged Kurt Russell in this movie too.

So the next one is Spiderman, Wonder Woman, Thor then Justice League.

That's a tough question. To me, GotGp2 and A:AoU are on par with one another. I guess I liked the cameos better in this one, but overall it wasn't redeemed.

I think Spider-man will be "okay". I'm really looking forward to Wonder Woman. I think it will be pretty good. Thor will probably suck. I don't like anything I've seen for it. Justice League will probably suck also.

This was fun, but not as fun as the first one.

Re: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2 (2017) (1st Jul 17 at 5:09pm UTC)
In the 90's. I used to post on the usenet. I made a post asking if anyone had free software to convert one video file format to another. One guy was friendly and said he had a program and he'd send me a link if I emailed him. I wasn't paying attention and I emailed him using an email account that I'd never used before. I waited and got no reply from him. Suddenly, my inbox was flooded with spam mail. I had never received spam before, but it was obvious that emailing that guy had caused it. He had a link to a website in his usenet posts. I followed the link to his website. It was a website filled with listbots where you could enter your email to get free updates on various crap. it was a site designed to collect email addresses for spam. I decided that he must like spam, so I took the geocities email address that got me on his spam list and I put his own email address into his own listbots. Since everything this jerk was doing seemed automated, I quickly imagined his listbots sending himself spam and all of his spam addresses getting signed up for more spam. The volume of data would be immense and QUICKLY throw his email address above the amount of traffic that was allowed. What would he do? Go complain that he had spammed himself? He had been posting online weekly. I never saw him post again. I might have been naive, but I was not without knowledge of my own.
