Yep, Layton. I only watched the first little bit of this, but I thought it was weird they named (via on screen graphic) almost everyone else in the video, but not Layton.

It's nice that they are capturing the info, but I really can't see this having a lasting impact of anyone. Bob always looked like he walked out of GQ magazine, so seeing him with a few more years under his belt was shocking.

Compare it to my checklist image:

The yellowing pattern of their image seems to match the low res & over-compressed image form the Grand Comics Database.

My goal is to put forth better images, so comparing these makes me smile that I did succeed.

Looks like a great effort to me. I would love to see it. I love documentaries to start with, and I am quite fond of collecting Charlton Comics. The red headed step child of comics. Where VF is NM and FN is VF.

I don't think a free host will be able to store all the data for it to be online.
I would like the images to be usable for a coffee table book.

In all honesty, I don't think the list will ever get completed.

I expect a few drastic shake-ups in the coming years.

Probably thousands. I have hundreds of scans that are unprocessed. Occasionally, I'll find something new. That happens less frequently now. Collecting the Blue Bird Shoes series of variants is tough. Things that you think would be easy like Jetsons or Flintstones is actually rather difficult.
