It's one of the best scenes in the movie.

I don't think he's the only one who feels that way.
I have no anger though. I'm not sitting around trying to impose my will on people. If everyone creating and buying comics wants to drink the Jim Jones Kool-Aid, it's their choice. I'm not standing in line for it. Jim Shooter doesn't have to stand in line for it. Everyone is choosing to accept that fate of the industry as it is. If the Kool-Aid doesn't kill the comics industry, I'm happy for them.

It'll probably come from Vikingspawn. I don't read Previews or even go to a comic shop very often.

Everything artistically about it was fine. The score reminded me of the original very well. There was one reoccurring sound effect for doom or dread that was a little distracting, but at least they were consistent. It might have been easy to get lost on the plot if you hadn't seen the original.

How was the music score? Do you think Ridley would have done it better as director?

I think they want them finished. Probably a good decision in this market. Too much stuff wasn't getting finished in the past.

Wondered if you saw it. I noticed the running time was pretty long. Was it better than Valerian? I'm so behind on the movies I want to see.

I think Valerian was more entertaining. Blade Runner was more like a video art gallery with a plot. It was slow paced. I spent more time watching the background and scenery. Leto is shown almost as much in the video short as he is the entire movie. Harrison Ford is shown about the same amount. Ana de Armas is in it more than either of them. I'm wondering if Sean Young contributed to the movie in any way, because she's in it.

They already missed the halloween window for this genre of comic. I bet it'll be bumped to February. I remember Shooter saying last summer that he didn't know who was going to draw it yet but Joe James was still listed in the credits.

I hope Image will start the Shooter teasers soon so they get a head start to put the awareness out there for his name alone. And Neal Adams. Maybe they are waiting for the books to be fully finished before they solicit them.

I finally saw this. It's okay. Visually, it's nice. The plot tries to be clever. It wasn't necessary. I'd taken some medicine that was making me drowsy. I nodded off about 15 times, but I don't think I missed anything important. I was waking myself up. Several of the key actors have small roles in the movie. Harrison Ford's role is really pretty small. There was one scene that seemed pointless for someone is age. I kept thinking they could have had him doing a hundred other scenes to build suspense, but they picked the worst way ever for a guy his age.

Missing ship dates or postponing ship dates can be a sign of cash flow problems. Diamond doesn't pay immediately, so sometimes the publisher wants to get their money for the books they've already shipped before they incur the cost of printing for things they've already solicited. If the books are not making a good profit, shipping late helps them minimize the negative cash flow. I think the publishers also feel that it gives time for new readers to jump on board, but that is rarely the case.

It reminds me of the later issues of the 2011 Dark Horse solicited Shooter books for Magnus/Turok/Solar/Samson where the pre-orders (and covers) were up and then months later were cancelled alltogether.

Still nothing on issue #2. MidtownComics says maybe Oct. 25 but I think they say that when they have no concrete release date from Diamond.
